Semana Santa (Holy Week) fills the streets with gawking tourists and thousands upon thousands of hooded penitents. The week gets off to a grisly start, though, with the most unholy discovery of a double murder. Visiting academic Maria Gutierrez is only supposed to observe the subsequent investigation, but the police are stretched way too thin, and Maria is soon following a trail of clues that may lead to her own demise.
