Blue Money is hardboiled New Zealand crime noir, set in the dirty back streets of Wellington and the rich estates of the Wairarapa.
Dave Beck is a reporter languishing on the property desk of the city’s newspaper after being demoted from the crime beat, when he is asked to find a woman in an old photo. The trail leads to an apparent suicide, a missing girl, an old and wealthy farming family, and a local crime boss. Beck heads into the city's criminal underworld and the polo clubs of the Wairarapa landed gentry and finds he has to become more than just a reporter if he's to save his job, a girl's life, and even his own.
