Something Andrew Nette mentioned in Bendigo a few weekends ago reminded me that I had this book on my tablet, and I'd started to read it and then got distracted. So now I'm very pleased to be revisiting some of the earlier stories, and finishing off the few I'd missed.

Sometimes a little violence is a good thing

You can’t go on the kind of spree ex-cop Tom Bishop did and not face consequences.

After three years of rotting in a cell, Bishop is busted out of prison in the dead of night and thrown into the middle of a police war where the stakes are high and personal.

2012 - Top Books

Anybody who knows me will be aware that I'm mathematically challenged. Besides, I hate giving numbers of stars as reviews and Top 5's or 10's or whatever numbers give me heartburn, so instead, I wanted to just re-mention some of the books that made my reading 2012. I was rather pleased to have hit the 120 that I set myself as a goal on Goodreads (in fact if I was up to date with reviews) I reckon that number will end up much closer to 140, which is not a bad effort given that it was a hellishly busy year all round. But enough waffle.

Finally getting to this on the ebook queue, because I'm away from home for a few days and I have my lovely shiny tablet with me instead of the suitcase full of books I'd normally haul...

Luke Preston

Author Information
Preston, Luke

Luke spent most of his twenties as a freelance writer and listening to rock ‘n roll. He drinks heavily on occasion, is a half decent musician and his idea of a good time involves a jukebox designed to bleed ears.

Luke’s work has been recognised by The Inside Film Awards, MTV and The ATOM Awards. He writes in cafes, bars and in parking lots on the back of old fuel receipts and cigarette packets. He doesn’t believe in writers block or in the magic bullet theory and his favourite album is Exile on Main Street.
